February 20, 2024: Farmington, NM 87401 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM), saw La Cueva's basketball squad overcome Farmington by a tally of 58-47.
With the victory, La Cueva improves its record to 18-7 on the campaign. The Bears host Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Golden Eagles in a 5A District 2 challenge on Friday, February 23. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 14-11. Eldorado lost 59-58 in their recent league challenge against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Scorpions confront the Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 2 challenge, on Friday, February 23. Farmington will attempt to improve on its 19-6 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-20 record after their 72-62 league loss to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM).
