North Dakota High School Basketball - Wyndmere/Lidgerwood topped by Oakes
January 26, 2024: Wyndmere, ND 58081 The Oakes Tornadoes basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbirds to 41 in the Tornadoes league victory on Friday.
The Tornadoes now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Oakes will battle a Imperials team coming off a 84-49 league loss to Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock (Linton, ND). The Imperials record now stands at 5-8.
The Warbirds (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Enderlin (Enderlin, ND). The Eagles come into the B District 1 contest with a 2-13 record. In their last contest, Enderlin prevailed over Richland (Colfax, ND), 49-45, in a league contest.
