Maryland High School Basketball - Bishop McNamara thwarts Archbishop Carroll
January 26, 2025: Forestville, MD 20747 The crowd at Sunday's league challenge between the Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) and the visiting Archbishop Carroll Lions (Washington, DC), observed Bishop McNamara's basketball team knock off Archbishop Carroll by a score of 73-62.
The Mustangs (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD). The Stags come into the Washington Catholic challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, DeMatha dropped by Gonzaga (Washington, DC), 74-62, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) in a VISAA Division I challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Archbishop Carroll will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 68-49 league loss to Paul VI (Chantilly, VA).
