New Fairfield Rebels (New Fairfield, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT), 43-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Fairfield upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Rebels host Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT) to clash with the Cougars in a Southwest - Patriot bout on Monday, January 31. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Kolbe-Cathedral lost 61-31 in their recent league bout against Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT)

Next up, the Green Wave clash with the Norwalk Bears (Norwalk, CT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 29. New Milford will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 34-30 league loss to Trumbull (Trumbull, CT).
