Utah High School Basketball - Alta ripped by Lehi
January 27, 2022: Sandy, UT 84094 In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Lehi Pioneers basketball team scored a decisive 62-29 triumph over the Alta Hawks.
In their next game, the Pioneers meet the Orem Tigers (Orem, UT) in a match, on Tuesday, February 1. Lehi will attempt to better on its 13-3 season record.
With the defeat, Alta moves to 0-3 on the year. The Hawks travel to Timpview (Provo, UT) to meet the Thunderbirds in a non-league match on Monday, January 31. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a record of 1-1.
First Quarter
Lehi got off to a great start in the game scoring 27 first quarter points. Alta scored 5 points in the period. Hadlie had 8 points, Ellie Hill had 7 points, and Kryalyn Spencer added 9 points in the quarter.
Second Quarter
Lehi had six players score in the second quarter for a total of 17 points. Alta scored 7 in the period and the score going into the third quarter is Lehi 44 and Alta 12.
Third Quarter
Alta was not able to score at all in the third quarter while Lehi put 14 points on the scoreboard. Five players all scored in the period for the Pioneers. The score going into the final period is 58 to 12 in favor of Lehi.
Fourth Quarter
Alta scored 17 points in the fourth quarter and Lehi only had 4. The final score is Lehi 62 and Alta 29. Hadlie Warren had 14 points, Kyralyn Spencer had 15 and Ellie Hill had 12.
