January 27, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87108 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), saw Highland's basketball squad hold off Valencia by a tally of 1-0.
With the victory, Highland improves its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Hornets host St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Sartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Sartans come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. St. Pius X won 64-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM)
Next up, the Jaguars play the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Valencia will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 43-33 non-league win over Grants (Grants, NM).
