Danbury Panthers (Danbury, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Brazos Cougars (Wallis, TX), 44-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Danbury upgrades its record to 5-21 on the campaign. The Panthers host Hempstead (Hempstead, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 3A Region III District 24 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 3-14. Hempstead lost 69-15 in their recent league bout against Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX)
