Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) and the visiting Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), saw Shelby's basketball squad wallop Highland Tech by a count of 64-30.

With the victory, Shelby upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Golden Lions travel to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC) to play the Greenwave in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 30. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Ashbrook won 37-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Forestview (Gastonia, NC)

Next up, the Rams play the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Highland Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record.
