Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sandhills Valley Mavericks (Stapleton, NE) and the host Twin Loup Wolves (Sargent, NE), saw Sandhills Valley's basketball squad knock off Twin Loup by a count of 50-36.

With the victory, Sandhills Valley upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Hyannis (Hyannis, NE) to play the Longhorns in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 15-1. Hyannis won 82-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Sutherland (Sutherland, NE)
