Ohio High School Basketball - River Valley tops Highland

Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the River Valley Vikings (Caledonia, OH) and the host Highland Fighting Scots (Marengo, OH), saw River Valley's basketball squad knock off Highland by a tally of 40-28.

With the victory, River Valley improves its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Ridgemont (Mount Victory, OH) to play the Golden Gophers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Golden Gophers come into the challenge with a record of 2-13. Ridgemont won 49-43 in their recent league challenge against Hardin Northern (Dola, OH)

Next up, the Fighting Scots play the Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH) in a Mid-Ohio challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Highland will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Whippets come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 30-29 league win over Clear Fork (Bellville, OH).
