January 27, 2025: Esmond, RI 02917 Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI), 44-35 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Smithfield advances its record to 7-6 on the year. The Sentinels travel to Johnston (Johnston, RI) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 29. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 6-7. Johnston won 55-43 in their recent non-league match against Shea (Pawtucket, RI)
The Eagles now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bishop Hendricken for a non-league match on Friday, January 31.
