Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA) and the visiting Walpole Rebels (Walpole, MA), saw Newton North's basketball squad knock off Walpole by a count of 69-50.

With the victory, Newton North upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Wellesley (Wellesley, MA) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 4-6.

Next up, the Rebels play the Natick Redhawks (Natick, MA) in a Bay State - Herget challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Walpole will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Redhawks come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 77-49 league win over Braintree (Braintree, MA).
