Texas High School Basketball - Balmorhea triumphant over Big Bend
January 28, 2025: Terlingua, TX 79852 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Balmorhea Bears (Balmorhea, TX) and the host Big Bend Roadrunners (Terlingua, TX), observed Balmorhea's basketball team overwhelm Big Bend by a score of 63-26.
The Bears (14-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Marfa (Marfa, TX). The Shorthorns come into the 1A Region II District 9 challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Marfa trounced Fort Davis (Fort Davis, TX), 48-40, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Roadrunners encounter the Valentine Pirates (Valentine, TX) in a 1A Region II District 9 challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Big Bend will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 0-0 league Big Bend (Terlingua, TX).
