Rhode Island High School Basketball - Ponaganset overwhelms Chariho

The Ponaganset Chieftains basketball team scored 60 points and limited the visiting Chariho Chargers to 30 in the Chieftains league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chieftains now have a 14-1 record. They play next when they travel to Portsmouth for a Division I game on Thursday, January 30. Ponaganset will confront a Patriots team coming off a 37-25 league win over Cranston West (Cranston, RI). The Patriots record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Chariho falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Chargers host North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI) to confront the Skippers in a Division I game on Thursday, January 30. The Skippers go into the game with a record of 15-1. North Kingstown won 61-29 in their recent league game against Tolman/Shea (Pawtucket, RI)
