The Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) basketball crushed the host Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI), 49-17 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Chieftains now possess a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to North Kingstown for a Division I bout on Friday, January 10. Ponaganset will play a Skippers team coming off a 57-33 league win over Westerly (Westerly, RI). The Skippers record now stands at 8-0.
