Maryland High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge overwhelms Bishop Walsh

January 29, 2025: Frostburg, MD 21532

The Mountain Ridge Miners basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting Bishop Walsh Spartans to 13 in the Miners non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Miners now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Frankfort for a Freelance game on Tuesday, February 4. Mountain Ridge will confront a Falcons team coming off a 46-38 non-league loss to East Hardy (Baker, WV). The Falcons record now stands at 1-12.

With the loss, Bishop Walsh falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Spartans host Northern Garrett (Accident, MD) to confront the Huskies in a non-league game on Wednesday, February 5. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 6-8. Northern Garrett lost 60-51 in their recent league game against Allegany (Cumberland, MD)
