Texas High School Basketball - Spring overwhelms Dekaney

January 29, 2025: Spring, TX 77373

The Spring Lions basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Dekaney Wildcats to 25 in the Lions league triumph on Wednesday.

The Lions now possess a 17-16 record. They play next when they travel to Nimitz for a 6A Region II District 14 game on Saturday, February 1. Spring will confront a Cougars team coming off a 65-24 league win over Eisenhower (Houston, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 22-8.

With the loss, Dekaney falls to 6-17 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to MacArthur (Houston, TX) to confront the Generals in a 6A Region II District 14 game on Saturday, February 1. The Generals go into the game with a record of 7-23. MacArthur lost 47-26 in their recent league game against Westfield (Houston, TX)
