Texas High School Basketball - Nimitz nips Spring

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Nimitz Cougars basketball team scored a close 57-50 win over the Spring Lions.

The Cougars (16-8) will now prepare for their contest against Dekaney (Houston, TX). The Wildcats come into the 6A Region II District 14 contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Dekaney edged MacArthur (Houston, TX), 33-26, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Aldine Mustangs (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region II District 14 battle, on Friday, January 10. Spring will attempt to advance on its 12-15 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 2-15 record after their 62-6 league loss to Eisenhower (Houston, TX).
