The Riverside-Martin Knights basketball team (Williamston, NC), was nudged 63-56 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC)

The Falcons now possess a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Creek for a 1A Conference 2 battle on Friday, January 6. Bertie will battle a Cougars team coming off a 72-55 league win over North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-5.

The Knights (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC). The Hurricanes come into the non-league battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Pamlico County was nudged by St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC), 38-25, in a non-league battle.
