North Carolina High School Basketball - Washington County fells Riverside-Martin

January 19, 2023: Williamston, NC 27892

Washington County Panthers (Plymouth, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Riverside-Martin Knights (Williamston, NC), 79-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Washington County upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Panthers host Tarboro (Tarboro, NC) to clash with the Vikings in a 1A Conference 2 bout on Friday, January 20. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Tarboro lost 87-64 in their recent non-league bout against North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC)

Next up, the Knights clash with the South Creek Cougars (Robersonville, NC) in a 1A Conference 2 bout, on Friday, January 20. Riverside-Martin will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 73-55 league loss to Tarboro (Tarboro, NC).
