Ohio High School Basketball - Springfield tops Western Reserve
January 3, 2023: Berlin Center, OH 44401 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH) and the host Western Reserve Blue Devils (Berlin Center, OH), saw Springfield's basketball squad knock off Western Reserve by a count of 66-53.
With the victory, Springfield upgrades its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Jackson-Milton (North Jackson, OH) to play the Bluejays in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet challenge on Friday, January 6. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Jackson-Milton lost 58-50 in their recent league challenge against Waterloo (Atwater, OH)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH) in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet challenge, on Friday, January 6. Western Reserve will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 57-35 league loss to Lowellville (Lowellville, OH).
