January 3, 2023: Gaston, NC 27832

The Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) basketball felled the host Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC), 45-35 in Tuesday's league test.

The Trojans (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Washington County thwarted Perquimans (Hertford, NC), 69-27, in a league test.

The Jaguars now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host North Edgecombe for a test on Friday, January 6. Northampton County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 84-48 non-league win over Tarboro (Tarboro, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 6-4.
