The Northwest Halifax Vikings basketball team scored 34 points and held the host Southeast Halifax Trojans to 31 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Edgecombe for a contest on Tuesday, January 3. Northwest Halifax will meet a Warriors team coming off a 39-30 non-league win over Tarboro (Tarboro, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 4-4.

The Trojans (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Northampton County (Gaston, NC). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Northampton County nudged Currituck County (Barco, NC), 43-40, in a non-league contest.
