Georgia High School Basketball - Madison County holds off Walnut Grove
January 3, 2024: Walnut Grove, GA 30052 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Madison County Red Raiders (Danielsville, GA) and the host Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA), saw Madison County's basketball squad hold off Walnut Grove by a tally of 56-55.
With the victory, Madison County improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Red Raiders host East Hall (Gainesville, GA) to confront the Vikings in a AAAA Region 8 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. East Hall won 89-84 in their recent league challenge against Chestatee (Gainesville, GA)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Johnson Knights (Gainesville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Walnut Grove will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 85-33 league loss to East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA).
