Georgia High School Basketball - Walnut Grove nips Cedar Shoals
December 8, 2023: Athens, GA 30605 Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cedar Shoals Jaguars (Athens, GA), 61-58 in a league bout.
With the win, Walnut Grove upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Warriors host Chestatee (Gainesville, GA) to play the War Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The War Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Chestatee lost 80-67 in their recent league bout against North Hall (Gainesville, GA)
Next up, the Jaguars play the Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Cedar Shoals will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 66-62 non-league win over Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA).
