Massachusetts High School Basketball - Oxford crushes Southbridge
January 3, 2024: Oxford, MA 01540 Oxford Pirates (Oxford, MA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Southbridge Pioneers (Southbridge, MA), 87-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Oxford upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Pirates host Northbridge (Whitinsville, MA) to play the Rams in a South Worcester County - A bout on Friday, January 5. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Northbridge won 46-36 in their recent non-league game against Leicester (Leicester, MA)
With the defeat, Southbridge moves to 2-5 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Uxbridge (Uxbridge, MA) to face the Spartans in a non-league game on Monday, January 8. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 5-2. Uxbridge lost 61-45 in their recent non-league game against Prouty (Spencer, MA)
