Texas High School Basketball - Overton bests Alto

January 3, 2025: Alto, TX 75925

The Overton Mustangs basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Alto Yellowjackets to 32 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now possess a 13-3 record. They play next when they host Mt. Enterprise for a 2A Region III District 22 game on Tuesday, January 7. Overton will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 60-44 league win over Cushing (Cushing, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, Alto falls to 13-7 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Carlisle (Price, TX) to confront the Indians in a 2A Region III District 22 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Indians go into the game with a record of 3-18. Carlisle lost 57-37 in their recent non-league game against Trinity (Trinity, TX)
