The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) and the visiting Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV), observed Ripley's basketball team overwhelm Point Pleasant by a score of 80-28.

The Vikings (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Grafton (Grafton, WV). The Bearcats come into the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Grafton was routed by East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV), 47-36, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Big Blacks encounter the Marietta Tigers (Marietta, OH) in a Twin State challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Point Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 46-45 non-league loss to Meigs (Pomeroy, OH).
