The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Catholic Falcons (Grand Rapids, MI) and the visiting Wayland Wildcats (Wayland, MI), observed West Catholic's basketball team knock off Wayland by a score of 57-38.

The Falcons (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against South Christian (Grand Rapids, MI). The Sailors come into the non-league challenge with a 7-1 record.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Union Red Hawks (Grand Rapids, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Wayland will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Red Hawks come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 57-16 non-league loss to Northview (Grand Rapids, MI).
