Massachusetts High School Basketball - Monument Mountain holds off Hoosac Valley
January 30, 2023: Cheshire, MA 01225 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Monument Mountain Spartans (Great Barrington, MA) and the host Hoosac Valley Hurricanes (Cheshire, MA), saw Monument Mountain's basketball squad hold off Hoosac Valley by a tally of 55-52.
With the victory, Monument Mountain improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Monson (Monson, MA) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 3. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Monson lost 60-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Quaboag Regional (Warren, MA)
Next up, the Hurricanes confront the Hampshire Regional Raiders (Westhampton, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Hoosac Valley will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 59-29 non-league loss to Belchertown (Belchertown, MA).
