Arkansas High School Basketball - Buffalo Island Central over Rector
January 30, 2024: Rector, AR 72461 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR) and the host Rector Cougars (Rector, AR), saw Buffalo Island Central's basketball squad overcome Rector by a tally of 68-52.
With the victory, Buffalo Island Central improves its record to 19-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR) to confront the Thunderbirds in a 2A Region 3 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 5-17. Cross County lost 70-53 in their recent league challenge against Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR)
Next up, the Cougars confront the East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) in a 2A Region 3 challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Rector will attempt to improve on its 12-11 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 12-10 record after their 72-58 league win over Riverside (Lake City, AR).
