Iowa High School Basketball - Independence knocked off by Center Point-Urbana
January 30, 2024: Center Point, IA 52213 The Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Independence Mustangs to 42 in the Stormin' Pointers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Stormin' Pointers now sport a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Delaware for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Center Point-Urbana will battle a Hawks team coming off a 57-36 league loss to Solon (Solon, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 2-14.
The Mustangs (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Marion (Marion, IA). The Wolves enter the WAMAC - West contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Marion ran past Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA), 49-34, in a non-league contest.
