Iowa High School Basketball - Independence ripped by West Delaware
December 15, 2023: Manchester, IA 52057 The West Delaware Hawks basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Independence Mustangs to 32 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Hawks now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marion for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. West Delaware will battle a Wolves team coming off a 62-56 non-league loss to Solon (Solon, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 3-3.
The Mustangs (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Wapsie Valley was routed by Oelwein (Oelwein, IA), 56-42, in a league contest.
