New Mexico High School Basketball - McCurdy overwhelms Dulce
January 30, 2024: Espanola, NM 87532 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM) and the visiting Dulce Hawks (Dulce, NM), saw McCurdy's basketball squad wallop Dulce by a tally of 65-38.
With the victory, McCurdy improves its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Mora (Mora, NM) to confront the Rangers/Rangerettes in a 2A District 5 challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Rangers/Rangerettes come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Mora won 62-20 in their recent league challenge against Questa (Questa, NM)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM) in a 2A District 1 challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Dulce will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 3-16 record after their 59-56 non-league win over Jemez Valley (Jemez Pueblo, NM).
