Virginia High School Basketball - Rustburg holds off Liberty Christian
January 30, 2024: Rustburg, VA 24588 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA) and the visiting Liberty Christian Bulldogs (Lynchburg, VA), saw Rustburg's basketball squad hold off Liberty Christian by a tally of 62-55.
With the victory, Rustburg improves its record to 16-1 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to Heritage (Lynchburg, VA) to confront the Pioneers in a Seminole challenge on Friday, February 2. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Heritage won 54-40 in their recent league challenge against Amherst County (Amherst, VA)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Liberty Christian will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Trailblazers come into the challenge with a 18-0 record after their 89-24 league win over Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA).
