Michigan High School Basketball - Sacred Heart Academy overwhelms Merrill
January 30, 2024: Merrill, MI 48637 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sacred Heart Academy Irish (Mt. Pleasant, MI) and the host Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI), saw Sacred Heart Academy's basketball squad wallop Merrill by a count of 75-28.
With the victory, Sacred Heart Academy upgrades its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Irish travel to Vestaburg (Vestaburg, MI) to play the Wolverines in a Mid-State challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Vestaburg won 72-33 in their recent league challenge against Ashley (Ashley, MI)
Next up, the Vandals play the Coleman Comets (Coleman, MI) in a Mid-State challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Merrill will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 64-51 league loss to Fulton (Middleton, MI).
