Georgia High School Basketball - Southland Academy edges Terrell Academy
January 30, 2024: Dawson, GA 39842 The Southland Academy Raiders (Americus, GA) basketball nipped the host Terrell Academy Eagles (Dawson, GA), 46-42 in Tuesday's league test.
The Raiders (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Brookwood (Thomasville, GA). The Warriors go into the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 test with a 21-2 record. In their last test, Brookwood got by Deerfield-Windsor (Albany, GA), 46-34, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Valwood for a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 test on Friday, February 2. Terrell Academy will encounter a Valiants squad coming off a 72-61 league win over Tiftarea Academy (Chula, GA). The Valiants record now stands at 10-9.
