In Tuesday's league match, the host South Mecklenburg Sabres basketball team scored a decisive 61-30 triumph over the Berry Cardinal.

In their next game, the Sabres meet the Charlotte Catholic Cougars (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, January 31. South Mecklenburg will attempt to move on its 11-8 season record.
