In Friday's league outing, the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), by a margin of 67-41.

The Sabres (12-9) will now prepare for their outing against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks go into the non-league outing with a 17-4 record. In their last outing, Marvin Ridge smashed Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC), 58-51, in a league outing.
