The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) and the visiting West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC), observed Salisbury's basketball team overwhelm West Rowan by a margin of 100-53.

The Hornets (16-3) will now prepare for their challenge against South Davidson (Denton, NC). The Wildcats come into the 1A/2A Central Carolina challenge with a 1-16 record. In their last challenge, South Davidson was trounced by Lexington (Lexington, NC), 88-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont challenge, on Friday, January 31. West Rowan will attempt to better on its 5-12 season record. The Spiders come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 59-50 league loss to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC).
