In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Northwestern Area Wildcats basketball team scored a good 49-37 win over the Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers.

The Wildcats (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Langford (Langford, SD). The Lions come into the B Region 1 contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Langford dropped by Warner (Warner, SD), 47-41, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Battlers battle the Faith Longhorns (Faith, SD) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record. The Longhorns come into the contest with a 7-5 record after their 54-29 non-league win over McIntosh (McIntosh, SD).
