The Northwestern Area Wildcats basketball squad (Mellette, SD), lost 58-44 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host North Central Thunder (Eureka, SD)

With the victory, North Central advances its record to 14-7 on the year. The Thunder host Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD) to meet the Titans in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 18. The Titans enter the battle with a record of 5-16. Leola/Frederick lost 59-46 in their recent non-league battle against Webster (Webster, SD)

The Wildcats now own a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Redfield for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 18. Northwestern Area will meet a Pheasants squad coming off a 39-31 non-league loss to Deuel (Clear Lake, SD). The Pheasants record now stands at 2-18.
