West Virginia High School Basketball - Capital can't hold off South Charleston
January 31, 2023: Charleston, WV 25311 The South Charleston Black Eagles basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Capital Cougars to 41 in the Black Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Black Eagles now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Albans for a Mountain State contest on Friday, February 3. South Charleston will battle a Red Dragons team coming off a 62-60 non-league win over Ripley (Ripley, WV). The Red Dragons record now stands at 9-7.
The Cougars (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Cabell Midland (Ona, WV). The Knights enter the Mountain State contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Cabell Midland nudged Spring Valley (Huntington, WV), 56-51, in a league contest.
