The South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV) basketball nipped the visiting George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV), 56-51 in Tuesday's league test.

The Black Eagles (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Greenbrier East got by Washington (Charles Town, WV), 67-35, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now own a 12-1 record. They play next when they travel to Parkersburg for a Mountain State test on Thursday, January 26. George Washington will encounter a Big Reds squad coming off a 56-51 league loss to Capital (Charleston, WV). The Big Reds record now stands at 3-12.
