Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Union Area overwhelms Cornell

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Cornell Raiders (Coraopolis, PA), saw Union Area's basketball squad wallop Cornell by a tally of 81-33.

With the victory, Union Area improves its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Scotties host Western Beaver (Industry, PA) to confront the Golden Beavers in a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Golden Beavers come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Western Beaver lost 81-41 in their recent league challenge against Carlynton (Carnegie, PA)

Next up, the Raiders confront the Avella Eagles (Avella, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Cornell will attempt to improve on its 1-17 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 77-63 league win over Western Beaver (Industry, PA).
