January 31, 2023: Wilson, NC 27895 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Greenfield Knights (Wilson, NC) and the visiting Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), saw Greenfield's basketball squad wallop Wayne Christian by a tally of 72-30.
With the victory, Greenfield improves its record to 25-8 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC) to confront the Chargers in a NCISAA Coastal Plain challenge on Friday, February 3. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 24-6. Wayne Country Day won 92-63 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastern Wayne (Goldsboro, NC)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Cary Christian Knights (Cary, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Wayne Christian will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 11-13 record after their 62-59 league loss to Wake Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC).
