North Carolina High School Basketball - South Charlotte Thunder crushes North Charlotte

January 31, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28214

South Charlotte Thunder Thunder (Matthews, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host North Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC), 83-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Charlotte Thunder upgrades its record to 17-8 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Comenius (Fort Mill, SC) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 10-12. Comenius won 72-55 in their recent non-league bout against Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC)

Next up, the Lions play the Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots (Mount Airy, NC) in a North Carolina Home Education - West bout, on Friday, February 3. North Charlotte will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Runnin' Patriots come into the bout with a 4-20 record after their 64-59 non-league win over Community Baptist (Reidsville, NC).
