Virginia High School Basketball - Fleming nips Lord Botetourt
January 31, 2023: Roanoke, VA 24017 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) and the visiting Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA), saw Fleming's basketball squad hold off Lord Botetourt by a count of 52-48.
With the victory, Fleming upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Colonels travel to William Byrd (Vinton, VA) to play the Terriers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 8. The Terriers come into the challenge with a record of 13-5.
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Lord Botetourt will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 44-39 non-league loss to William Byrd (Vinton, VA).
