January 31, 2024: Belmar, NJ 07719 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ) and the visiting St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ), saw St. Rose's basketball squad wallop St. John-Vianney by a tally of 78-38.
With the victory, St. Rose improves its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Purple Roses travel to Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 12-5. Union Catholic won 47-40 in their recent league challenge against Union (Union, NJ)
Next up, the Lancers confront the Williamstown Braves (Williamstown, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 1. St. John-Vianney will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 1-17 record after their 84-55 league loss to Washington Township (Sewell, NJ).
