December 19, 2023: Aberdeen, NJ 07747 The St. John-Vianney Lancers basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Matawan Regional Huskies to 40 in the Lancers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lancers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Raritan for a Shore A - Central contest on Thursday, December 21. St. John-Vianney will battle a Rockets team coming off a 61-45 non-league loss to Wall Township (Wall, NJ). The Rockets record now stands at 0-3.
The Huskies (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ). The enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Ranney ran past Long Branch (Long Branch, NJ), 88-48, in a non-league contest.
